2014 National Two Man Team Championship

The American Club – Kohler, WI
July 20-23, 2014

The outstanding American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin hosted the 2014 ASGA National Two Man Team Championship. Cooler temperatures on the shores of Lake Michigan provided extremely pleasant temperatures for golf and with sunshine and gentle breezes, the weather was picture-perfect all week! We were thrilled to welcome Kohler Company President David Kohler and his wife Nina for our opening gala dinner where David spoke to the large crowd in attendance about the incredible history of the Kohler Family, the Company and Resort. The ASGA Charitable Trust proudly presented a check to benefit the Kohler High School Boys and Girls Golf Teams, recently awarded one of the top academic golf programs in Wisconsin.

The golf event opened at Blackwolf Run with the men on the River Course and ladies taking on Meadows Valley. Tuesday, the men and ladies switched courses with the final round Wednesday at Whistling Straights Irish Course. While Monday and Wednesday were better ball of pairs format, the men played a round of Chapman format Tuesday which is always an interesting experience!

As is always the case with ASGA events, the hospitality and camaraderie were featured throughout and the 55 Members plus wives were thrilled to welcome seven terrific new Members join us!!! Fred and Lyn Baggett of Tallahassee, FL; Bill and Karen Downing of Akron, OH; Donald and Geraldine McLauchlan of Oak Park, IL; Andy and Sharon Naporano of Scottsdale, AZ; Joe and Diane Schwab of Scottsdale, AZ; Erle Stephens of Etobicoke, ON; Jay and Susan Walton of Tallahassee, FL to their first event with ASGA and hope that we see them at many more to come.
