2017 Stroke Play Championship

2017 Stroke Play Championship

Bonita Bay Club – Bonita Springs, FL
December 3-6, 2017

An outstanding field of 62 ASGA Members plus spouses were welcomed to the private Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs, FL for the 2017 Stroke Play Championship December 3-6, 2017. Bonita Bay once again opened their doors to ASGA Members and made us all feel incredibly welcome for a week of first-class hospitality and absolutely perfect weather.  While much of the country was experiencing freezing cold temperatures and even early season snow, Members at Bonita Bay enjoyed four straight days of 85 and sunny!

A special thanks to Bruce Milligan for his tremendous efforts in arranging for ASGA to be at Bonita Bay and thank you also to our many additional ASGA/Bonita Bay Members who went out of their way to make us at home at their private retreat.

As is always the case with ASGA events, the hospitality and camaraderie were featured throughout and we welcomed six terrific new members to join us (David and Ruthann Beckerman; Mike DeDomenico; Gary and Elaine Gross; Casey and Connie Lee; Dan Lehrhoff; Arthur and Laura Murphy) for their first event with ASGA and hope that we see them at many more to come.

Congratulations go to Mike Howell who played consistently on three very difficult golf courses and captured the top prize as 2017 Stroke Play Champion. Congratulations also to Net winner Jay Johnston. The Stableford Division was led by Casey Lee, while Ken Kinsey took top honors in the new Super Senior Division.

The Ladies Gross winner was Susan Mackay and Judi Kelly had the top Net score.
