Our members recently returned home from what was an incredible ASGA Stroke Play Championship. Bonita Bay Club again proved to be an exceptional host club that delivered some of the most pristine golf conditions that we have ever played and hospitality that was second to none.Thank you to all of our members who traveled to beautiful Bonita Bay Club. We invite all members to scroll down for highlights, a summary of results as well as a sneak peak of our many exciting future events.
About the HostThis year’s ASGA Stroke Play Championship marked the third time in six years that Bonita Bay Club has hosted the event. Over the four-day period, many members were treated to rounds played on three of the five world-class courses that make up Bonita Bay Club.Bay Island and its recently renovated layout drew rave reviews from members. They remarked that they thoroughly enjoyed the rugged lay of the land and that the natural landscape provided just the right level of challenge that they sought.Creekside was our second challenge. It showed us broad fairways and defined carries. Elevation changes create a subtle feeling of rolling hills. Bunkers and moguls surround the greens to fortify the challenge for members. When we reached Sabal, we encountered a course built on a wildlife preserve. The long white sand bunkers were impeccably kept, while the undulating fairways, ponds, lakes and multi-tiered greens make for an enjoyable round of golf.Special congratulations to Bonita Bay Club member Jeff Baker who captured the men’s overall gross division title. Jeff is one of 21 Bonita Bay Club residents who are members of the ASGA.

The ExperienceDuring our stay in Florida, a group took a memorable private boat cruise which departed from the Bonita Bay Marina located on the property of our resort. Our group was given a private and intimate tour of the area by Sweetwater Adventures, which included cruising through Bonita Bay and Estero Bay. It was an incredible opportunity for us to see the unique natural setting from the perch of our chartered vessel.
